About Us

Founded in 2014, The National Association of Mom Entrepreneurs (NAME) exists to provide entrepreneurial resources, education, advocacy, and funding to help close the gap of chronic poverty, increase generational wealth, and accelerate the economy by investing in mom entrepreneurs

NAME is a membership-based organization that solely focuses on mom entrepreneurs across all industries. Through chapters across the country, we are dedicated to being the premier organization that helps elevate mom entrepreneurs and their families socially and economically.

Board of Directors

The board of directors were newly formed in 2023. Each board member is responsible for contributing $350 to the organization. Board financial commitments are due by December 1st of each year. Currently, fifty percent of the board have made their commitment.

Recognized as one of Baltimore's Top 40 under 40, Dr. Tammira Lucas is a thought leader who has quickly emerged as a trailblazer among millennial professionals and a powerful voice for communities locally, nationally, and internationally. Dr. Tammira Lucas is the founder of The Cube, Cowork, the largest black women owned coworking space in the United States that provides babysitting services. As a HBCU graduate, Dr. Lucas is a strong advocate for women in business especially moms. With her dedication to ensure that all moms have access to resources and support to balance their careers, businesses and family, she cofounded The National Association of Mom Entrepreneurs (formally Moms As Entrepreneurs). The National Association of Mom Entrepreneurs, provides advocacy, support, and resources for mom entrepreneurs. Dr. Lucas is an Author, Speaker, Philanthropist, and Professor. Dr. Lucas has dedicated her life to focusing on building stronger and equitable communities through leadership, education, social innovation, and entrepreneurship. Dr. Lucas holds three degrees in business including a Doctor of Business Administration. Her biggest prides are her daughter, Ryann, and husband, Robert.

Jasmine-Simms

Jasmine  Simms
Cofounder

Jasmine Simms is a life-applied, experienced entrepreneur and is currently a business advisor with Goldman Sachs, 1863 Ventures, Morgan State University, and has been contracted by the Small Business Administration. She has a specialist expertise in evidence-based entrepreneurship training and curriculum development, assessing business finances and profitability, operations evaluations, and performance monitoring and reporting. A strategic and agile thinker known for effectively guiding clients to progress by tackling key barriers to business growth and ambiguous problems with effective solutions.
